On Friday, September 11, 2026, the Department of Youth Ministries of the Diocese of Philadelphia and Eastern Pennsylvania opened applications for adults interested in serving as volunteer counselors and staff at the 2027 Winter Teen Retreat.

The retreat will take place from January 29–31, 2027, at Refreshing Mountain Retreat & Adventure Center in Stevens, PA. Young people from throughout the Diocese will gather for a weekend centered on worship, fellowship, recreation, and spiritual growth.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and should be available for the entirety of the retreat. All applicants must complete the volunteer application, provide the required references, and satisfy all applicable background-check and clearance requirements before serving.

On the minor patronal Feastday of our parish - The Miracle of the Archangel Michael at Colossae (September 6), we welcomed new Christians into the fold the Church: Jeremy (St Joseph the Betrothed), Christina (St Nonna), Brayden (St Gregory the Theologian), Dominic (St Nektarios of Aegina), Jaxon (St Seraphim of Sarov), and Julia (St Gertrude of Nivelles).
May God grant the newly-illumined and their sponsors many and blessed years!

On Sunday, August 30, after being elected as the new Vice President of the Parish Council and receiving a blessing from Archbishop Mark, Justin Scott was formally installed into his new role.

We also prayed for a spiritually and intellectually beneficial school year for our teachers and students.

May the Lord grant them all many and blessed years!
