There is a peace available through Jesus that the world cannot give and circumstances cannot take away. In recovery, we often spend years searching for peace in all the wrong placesβtrying to numb the pain, control the chaos, or outrun our hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Yet true peace is not found in a substance, a relationship, or a temporary escape. True peace is found in Christ alone.
The Apostle Paul reminds us:
> **"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."**
> *Philippians 4:6-7 (LSB)*
This is the peace that surpasses understanding. It doesn't always make sense. It shows up in the middle of the storm. It calms the anxious mind. It comforts the broken heart. It gives hope when everything around us says to give up.
Jesus Himself said:
> **"Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful."**
> *John 14:27 (LSB)*
At Celebrate Recovery, we believe that Jesus is still healing, restoring, and setting people free. No matter where you've been or what you're carrying, His peace is greater than your past and His grace is stronger than your struggle.
