Today marks the official start of my appointment as Administrative Bishop for the Church of God in Illinois. We arrived in Bethalto last Thursday and were able to unload the truck in a short amount of time thanks to the help that Bishop Brown had arranged for. We got a good start on unpacking Friday. Early Saturday morning we left for Alabama to visit our new twin granddaughters who were born on August 8. We're spending this week helping our daughter and son-in-law, and will be driving back to Bethalto on Friday. I'm looking forward to getting my office set up once we get back to town. In the meantime, I would love to set a schedule for preaching in some churches across the state. If you would like for Wanda and I to come, please reach out to Andrea at the office to set up a date. I believe that God is going to do amazing things in Illinois over the course of the next few years.

Welcome to Illinois, Dr. Mark & Wanda Cary!

At the 80th Church of God General Assembly, Dr. Mark and Sister Wanda Cary were appointed to serve Illinois Church of God as Administrative Bishop and Women's Ministries Director!

The Carys come to Illinois with a wealth of ministry experience. They have faithfully served as a successful pastor, State Youth & Discipleship Director in Virginia, State Ministries Director in Virginia, and most recently as Administrative Bishop of the North Central Region.

We are thrilled to welcome the Cary family to The Land of Lincoln and believe God has incredible things in store for this next season. We are praying for an abundant harvest, a fresh move of the Holy Spirit, and God's richest blessings upon their ministry in Illinois.

Please join us in giving a warm Illinois welcome to Dr. Mark & Wanda Cary!! The BEST is yet to come!

As the Illinois Church of God turns the page to a new chapter, we bid a heartfelt farewell to Dr. Mike and Sister Sonja White.

We are deeply grateful for their faithful leadership, servant hearts, and the love they have shown to the ministers, churches, and people of Illinois during their time as Administrative Bishop and First Lady. Their impact will be felt for years to come.

As they transition to serve as Superintendent of the North Carolina Church of God Children's Home, we pray God's richest blessings upon this new assignment. We know they will continue to make an incredible difference in the lives of children and families.

Dr. and Sister White would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone across Illinois for your partnership, encouragement, and kindness shown to them throughout the past year.

Thank you, Dr. Mike and Sister Sonja White, for your faithful service. We appreciate you and are cheering you on as you continue to answer God's call!

🔥🙌 WHAT A NIGHT! 🙌🔥

The final night of 2026 Illinois Church of God Camp Meeting is one we will never forget!

From the very first note of worship, the presence of God filled the room in a powerful way. Hearts were stirred, lives were touched, and faith was strengthened as we gathered together in His presence.

Pastor Roy Tucker preached under a mighty anointing, delivering the Word with power and passion. Multiple times, the congregation rose to their feet as praise erupted throughout the sanctuary!

The altar service was absolutely powerful as God moved in demonstration and authority among ministers and laity alike. Lives were impacted, burdens were lifted, and people encountered God in a fresh and life-changing way.

We leave this Camp Meeting grateful, refreshed, challenged, and forever changed by what God has done. The Lord met with His people, and we will never be the same!
