John 20:21-22 was the inspiration for Edwin Hatch's hymn, "Breathe on Me, Breath of God" (number 420 in The United Methodist Hymnal).

📖 “Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even, so send I you.’ And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.’”

The hymn is a prayer inviting the Holy Spirit to transform our lives. Represented by the breath of God, the Spirit brings new life, love, and inspiration.

We had another wonderful evening at VBS. We learned about how Jesus loves everyone—even people who make mistakes or get lost. We heard the parable of the shepherd who leaves the 99 sheep to save the one who is lost, we sang songs, had snacks, painted our own bird feeders, played lots of fun games, and enjoyed time together. Tomorrow is our last day of VBS 2026. We hope you’ll join us for a final night of fun including s’mores and a hayride (weather permitting)! See you tomorrow!

Tonight was night two of “Faith on the Farm” VBS at Pisgah! We learned all about how Jesus is the good shepherd, we had perfect weather, we got to pet some real life animals, had more time doing crafts, having snacks, singing, playing, making friends and having fun! We hope to see you there with us tomorrow from 6-8pm!
