After serving in the Brazil Rio South Mission, Sister Davis is home with a strengthened testimony of Jesus Christ and a message for future missionaries: “Go serve—you won’t regret it!”

At devotional, Bishop W. Christopher Waddell taught that caring for those in need is a divinely appointed responsibility of the Church and an essential part of following Jesus Christ. Drawing from global humanitarian efforts and experiences responding to disasters in Türkiye, Syria, and Lahaina, he showed how Church resources and individual acts of service help relieve suffering and bless communities around the world.
He encouraged students to follow the Savior’s example by recognizing opportunities to serve, using their talents, and remembering that even small acts of kindness can make a difference.
“The most important thing I invite you to do is to pray and ask God how he can use you, and then for you to act on the promptings you receive.”
— Bishop W. Christopher Waddell

Last week we celebrated the grand opening of Richmond Tiny Village 🏡

Tiny Village Spirit creates tiny home communities to support our unhoused neighbors. Members of the Oakland stake have joined with other community volunteers through JustServe to help make these houses feel like home. Members of the Walnut Creek 2nd Ward even made the beautiful curtains!

And the best part? There’s always more to do!

JustServe connects volunteers with organizations and projects that need a helping hand — from building and beautifying spaces to serving neighbors in need.
