As a parish named for a Benedictine abbot there's so much we can learn from this profound path. Check out this prayer vigil for election day offered by the Benedictine Way: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1574361988067954&set=a.556251976545632&type=3&mibextid=wwXIfr

On Saturday, a large number of St. Anselm's leaders attended Trinity Center's Harvest Festival in Walnut Creek. Our parish's lengthy relationship with this vital service provider is an inspiring witness of compassion, commitment, and care. Our own Marty Fischer welcomed guests and spoke of how Trinity Center, and the annual event has evolved and grown.

On Sunday, Sue Crawford and Al Swimmer spoke about our strategic vision to reach people of all ages who are seeking community, inspiration, and opportunities to serve. Sue noted the success of our collaborative events with our Michael Lane Preschool and the importance of welcoming young families. She emphasized the value of our unique "church in the round" layout and fellowship. Al spoke about the changing demographics of our region and expressed the desire to see us focus our outreach on those aged 50 and over. Both encouraged us to increase our pledges to ensure St. Anselm's financial health and sustainability.

Our goal for this year's pledge campaign is $330,000, an increase of 23% from last year's pledge total. Pledge cards will be blessed on the Feast of All Saints, Sunday, November 1st.

Faithfully,
Your Stewardship Commission
