Thank you to everyone who came to yesterday evening’s Meal of Faith and Fellowship and to everyone who volunteered to make it happen. Rev. Corey opened our time together with a devotional on the Good Samaritan. Then, various casseroles, stews, vegetables, and desserts were available for dine-in or takeout. Approximately 86 meals were served. We enjoyed visiting with our neighbors and getting to know each other better. Love and peace to you all.

We just received notification that the 12,000+ meals that we packaged with Rise Against Hunger last November have been shipped to The Philippines! The Philippines is one of the most environmentally disaster prone countries in the world. The meals we packaged will particularly help people in the immediate aftermath of earthquakes, typhoons, and volcanic eruptions.

Make plans to join us for this year’s Rise Against Hunger event on November 24 (the Tuesday of Thanksgiving week).

Due to uncertain and potentially dangerous weather conditions, all Sunday morning activities at Monticello Presbyterian scheduled for Sunday, February 1 have been cancelled. It is regrettable to have to take this action yet again, but safety is of the highest importance. Session members will be contacted to see when our stated meeting can be re-scheduled.
