The Corvette Club was a wonderful suprise for the St James Youth Sunday! Thank you Min. Strickland for spearheading this activity/ event.

Youth Sunday at St James AME truly was an uplifting service. Min. Andre Strickland shared a message from on high, using swords to demonstrate how we as Christians have to cut the demonic spirits with the word of God! The youth of the Get Ahead House shared in the worship service with pray, scripture, liturgical dancing, and singing. The Corvette club was out in numbers supporting a wonderful day of praise and worship! Let's not forget the tributes for Black History, spotlighting those African Americans that were first to hold positions in Monticello. We are so grateful to everyone that came out to fellowship.

Ash Wednesday - The Beginning of Our Lenten Journey
Today marks the start of Lent-a sacred 40-day season of prayer, reflection, repentance and renewal as we prepare our hearts for Easter. On Ash Wednesday, ashes are placed on our foreheads in the shape of a cross, reminding us: Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return". The holy moment calls us to humility, self-examination, and a deeper walk with Christ. It is not about sorrow alone-it is about transformation. From ashes to resurrection, God is doing a new thing within us
