Statement of Condolences on Behalf of Mrs. Tamara Cowart Baylis
The Lawrence County School District is deeply saddened by the unexpected and untimely passing of Mrs. Tamara Cowart Baylis, Counselor at Lawrence County High School.
Although Mrs. Baylis was new to the Lawrence County School District family, she had already begun making a meaningful impact on our school community. She approached her role with compassion, dedication, and a genuine desire to serve others. Mrs. Baylis worked diligently alongside the principal, faculty, and staff of Lawrence County High School and was committed to supporting, encouraging, and advocating for the students entrusted to her care.
In a short period of time, Mrs. Baylis demonstrated the heart of an educator and counselor. She cared deeply about people and working tirelessly to help ensure a successful school year for the students and staff of Lawrence County High School. We are grateful for the time she shared with our district and for the difference she was already making.
The Lawrence County School District extends our sincerest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues, and to all who knew and loved Mrs. Baylis. We ask that you keep her family, as well as the students and staff of Lawrence County High School, in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.
