Benson Kenneth Carpenter III, affectionately known to his family and friends as "Benny," age 72, of Monroe, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026, while vacationing at the beach, his absolute favorite place to be

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at New Hope Southern Methodist Church, 3221 Plyler Mill Road, Monroe, NC 28112, with burial to follow in Lakeland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00AM until 10:45AM in the church.

It is with heavy hearts that we ask for prayers for Pat Carpenter and family. Benny Carpenter has gone home to be with the Lord. Benny served our church with deep love and faithfulness. Please join us as we lift Pat and the family up in prayer.

Lord, our hearts are heavy with losing Benny. Please draw near to us in our sadness. Wrap Your arms tightly around Pat and the family as they process everything. Give them strength to take the next step even when the road feels too hard to walk. Help us all hold on to the wonderful and loving memories of Benny. May our loved one rest in peace, and may we all find comfort in the hard days ahead.
