From the Pastor's Desk...

The word say's Thou good and faithful servant; though has been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things; enter into the joy of the Lord.
God cannot say that if we have not been faithful. That's in everything, your time, your money, your whole life. How do we become faithful to God?
1. We have to know how to restrain our appetites.
2. We have to subdue fleshly lusts.
3. We have to learn self-control.
As you Pastor, let us learn how to be faithful to the things of God. That When we stand before Him, we will be able to hear the words, "Thou good and faithful servant." Amen

Promises
The song we sing, "Every promise in the book is mine." ACTS 2: 39 said, "For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord God shall call."
II Corinthians 1: 20, "For all the promises of God in Him are yea and in Him amen, unto the glory of God by us.
As your Pastor, let us not look to the problem, but let us look to the promises that God gave us, that are Christians through the cross that brings completion. Here is the shout of victory, "God said, I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and He shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts." Amen!

Disfigured:

Not only does sin disfigure your physical man, but the spirit man also. It's degrading, it will strip you of everything that you ever built-up. Sin will steal; pollute; provoke and devour; it will also disfigure you. Let's look at the prodigal son, he found himself stripped, wounded, and half dead, and eating with the hogs. The word says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life."

As your Pastor, all who fall into the clutches of sin and iniquity are sure to be stripped of their raiment of righteousness and the garment of praise. It's hard to praise God with sin in your life.

Final Separation
One of the greatest mistakes that man can do today is joke about hell. It seems like men speak so loosely about it. It's just another word to them., but let me say this out loud, it's a reality. If people knew what hell is really like, they wouldn't speak so loosely.
As your Pastor, let me warn everyone that reads this, hell is not a joke. We are standing in the last days and we are only a breath away from "Heaven or hell" and God doesn't send mankind to hell, they send themselves. Because God gave us a way out and that is through Jesus Christ. Jesus said that He is faithful to forgive us of all our sins. You must be born again to make it to heaven. Amen!

Know Him
It's not about knowing about him, but it's about knowing him. Paul knew Him so well that he said, "I know; I have believed; and I am persuaded; and I have commited." When we have a full commitment to Jesus and we really know him, no one can intimidate us. The word says, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want."
As your Pastor, get to really know him and what he did at the cross. "He paid a debt He did not owe." When you get to know him and all of the benefits that is for us, you will serve him forever. Amen!

Believe Before Seeing

If the enemy of our soul could get us to live on feelings and sight we would be defeated before we get started. Abraham had to thank God before he saw the burnt offering supplied. Caleb had to thank God for that mountain that wasn’t his yet. Jonathan had to thank God for the defeat of the enemy before it happened. David had to thank God even though the giant hadn’t been killed yet.

As your Pastor, let us hold to God’s unchanging hand and look beyond our troubles and believe before we see the victory. Everything in the Word of God points to our victory when we have Christ. Paul said, “If God be for us, who can be against us.”

The Church
I like what Charles Spurgeon said, "A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep; the church will have clowns entertaining the goats." C.M. Ward said, "There are three types of preachers:
1. Those you cannot listen to.
2. Those you can listen to.
3. Those you must and better listen to.
As your Pastor, don't be swayed by every wind and doctrine. Let us not be drawn in by seducing spirits, the enemy will come in as an angel of light, and it may seem right, but try the spirit. Our churches are in trouble, we try to much entertaining when it should be, "Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit saith the Lord." Amen!

Filled with the Holy Ghost

When we are filled with the Holy Ghost there will be no room for anything else. Paul said, “What? Know you not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which you have of God, and you are not your own,”

When you’re full of the Holy Ghost there is no room for bitterness; envy; strife; jealousy; hatred; back biting, because the Word of God says, “Does a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter water?”

As your Pastor, let us walk in the Spirit and not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Nobody knows you better than yourself. Let us examine our self and see if the Holy Ghost lives in us; allow him to work in you to remove the desires of the flesh. Amen!

One Common Goal

In order to labor together there has to be cooperation with one another. maximum success is not achieved by one man doing the work of many, but everyone striving to reach their goal. Jesus said, "Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth, you shall ask and it shall be done."
As your Pastor, let us do like David. "He was ruled by a spirit of love, which knit the people in unity."
There is an old saying, "They that walk the same road usually become good companions." Let us believe in the same goal here at PCM and see God move.
