FOCUS ON THE RACE WITH GOD
In Romans 8:31, Apostle Paul says, “If God is for me, no one can succeed against me.” When God is with you, even though you walk through the valley of the shadow of death, you will not fear a million enemies because He has promised in His Word that, for your sake, every mountain shall be levelled and every hill shall be made plain. When you pass through the waters, He will be with you, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned.
Jesus conquered the world and gave us victory. Why, then, are you still troubled? What situation are you in today? Are you feeling lonely and insecure? Are you sick and dying? Are you feeling guilty and condemned as a result of your past life? Life does not just happen to us; it is all about choices and how we respond to every situation. God chooses what we go through; we choose how we go through it. God has arranged our lives according to His will. Nothing can come against you without God’s knowledge and approval.
People of God, no matter what you are going through as a Christian, if it is allowed by God as a trial, God will speak strength and courage into your life through it. You must not consider it strange or doubt your Guard. Don’t let your situation intimidate you. Don’t give room to fear, because fear is your actual enemy.
Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, will not leave you without a solution to your problem.
You must realise that, for those whose lives are centred on Jesus Christ, the best is yet to come!
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, whatever situation I am going through that may shift my focus from You, I commit it all into Your hands. O Holy Spirit, strengthen my focus on You. In Jesus Christ’s name, we pray. Amen.
