Palm Sunday is almost here!

It’s our great pleasure to invite you to join us Sunday Morning, Palm Sunday, March 24, 2024 at 9AM, for our Worship Service at New Birth Community Church. Pastor LaChish will be sharing a special message of hope. You don’t want to miss it.

Palm Sunday commemorates the entrance of Christ into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1–9), when palm branches were placed in his path, before his arrest on Holy Thursday and his crucifixion on Good Friday. It thus marks the beginning of Holy Week.

In Matthew 21:1–11, Mark 11:1–11, Luke 19:28–44, and John 12:12–19, Jesus descends from the Mount of Olives towards Jerusalem, and the crowds lay their clothes on the ground to welcome him as he triumphantly enters Jerusalem.

"Hosanna" was the shout of praise or adoration made in recognition of the Messiahship of Jesus on his triumphal entry into Jerusalem, "Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD!" It is used in the same way in our praise today.

Today Dr. LaChish Jasmin of Simply LaChish Ministries blessed our church with a powerful life changing message entitled, “It’s Nothing!” The people of God were blessed and empowered to be fully persuaded in the power of their God. It’s definitely a word you need to go back and watch!

Today, the women of New Birth Community Church gathered to fellowship and honor one of God’s greatest gifts to the world, Mothers. This brunch was filled with door prizes, good food, on-site portraits, gospel karaoke, much more! Check out a few shots of the event.

On May 6, 2023, our church family said our final goodbye to one of the strongest pillars of our ministry.

Elder Anita Updike’s love, support, care, and example will forever be missed. Her commitment to God and the vision of New Birth showed in her daily life and many selfless acts of kindness.

Her infectious smile and warm, welcoming, spirit filled our services and ministry initiatives.

As we continue to celebrate her Heaven’s entry and heal from her earthly departure, please keep her family in your prayers; especially her husband, Deacon Kris Updike; and children Nadia and Daniel.

Anita, we love you and will forever cherish the memories we had with you.
