We welcome the Reverend Pratt Paterson as the new Deacon of Trinity Episcopal Church. Deacon Pratt has served as Executive Director of Wilmer Hall Children’s Home since 2016 and as Deacon at Christ Church Cathedral since 2024. In addition, he serves as the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast’s Disaster Preparedness and Relief Coordinator, helping support communities in times of need.

Before returning home to Mobile, Deacon Pratt worked with several Episcopal nonprofit organizations in Sewanee, Tennessee. During that time, he also served as an EMT with Sewanee EMS and the Sewanee Volunteer Fire Department, reflecting his longstanding commitment to serving others.

Deacon Pratt has been married to his wife, Allison, for 25 years. Together, they have 21-year-old twins who are seniors at the University of Alabama. Trinity Episcopal Church is delighted to welcome Deacon Pratt Paterson to our parish community and looks forward to his ministry and service among us. He begins serving with us at Trinity on November 1st.

We were delighted to welcome the Mobile Shakespeare Club for its bi-weekly meeting! Established in 1897, this wonderful club has a rich history of celebrating literature, learning and the timeless works of William Shakespeare.

Take a look at the photo and see if you can spot the distinguished gentleman keeping watch behind the ladies- none other than The bust of Shakespeare himself!!

We’re honored to be a part of this longstanding tradition and grateful to share our space with such a special group!

Father Mark led our Blessing of the Animals service on Sunday afternoon , beginning with the beautiful Prayer of St. Francis of Assisi. Despite the rain, people and their beloved pets dodged the showers to join us for this meaningful and joyful tradition at Trinity. 🐾🙏🏼

We are grateful for the companionship, love, and joy our animals bring into our lives—and for the blessing of sharing them with our Trinity family!🙏🏼❤️
