CLOTHESLINE MINISTRY DONATION PLEA
The Clothesline Ministry is in desperate need of men and women's clothing. There is very little in the men's pant and shirt room and we are completely out of socks and small underwear for men.
From January 1 to present, the Clothesline has served 638 people and given away 5649 pieces of clothing. We average seeing 32 guests each Tuesday from 10 am to 1 pm. While we do have some regulars, we see new people each week. We serve not only the unhoused, but people who have suffered great loss due to fire, water damage and violence. We also serve those reentering society after incarceration or rehabilitation programs.
Please consider donating your gently used clothes and shoes or new underwear. Items can be dropped off at the Clothesline Ministry at St. Johns (back side door entrance on Breamwood Ave) any Tuesday, 10am to 1pm. Or if you want to bring them to St. Luke’s they can be picked up from the office. Please label donated boxes/bags for the Clothesline Ministry.
Thank you for your consideration. Blessings,
Deacon Terry Goff Clothesline Ministry [email protected]
****I will be glad to pick up any donations that are left at St. Luke’s and bring clothes to Clothesline when I go on Tuesdays. Christine Jacobs
