Today began the Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. June 11, in anticipation of our nation's 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, our nation will be consecrated to the Sacred Heart by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.

A few years ago, Sarah Timmer felt the nudge of the Holy Spirit when Fr. Cesar issued a challenge to parents to evaluate their priorities and determine whether they aligned with their eternal goals, or whether sports and other commitments had taken priority.

Sarah and the Holy Spirit used that homily and the willingness of a host of volunteers to create a camp experience for the children of our pastorate, "blending the fun of a camp with the beauty of our faith ... an experience that connected the joys of summer with the joys of their faith."

Happy Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity!!! πŸ‘‘βœοΈπŸ•Š

It's easy to say the Glory Be quickly, with hardly any thought to what it means, but each time we say it, we affirm that we believe the Church's greatest mystery. Today, let's say the Glory Be prayer slowly, meditating on each word, giving thanks to God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit -- three in one.

Come listen to Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers as part of This is the Hour, a special, one-night parish mission at Holy Family next Sunday, June 7, at 6:30pm!

Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers – known around the world as the β€œDynamic Deacon” – is one of the most sought-after speakers in the Church today. He is a powerful and passionate evangelist and preacher, whose no-nonsense approach to living and proclaiming the Catholic faith will challenge and inspire those who hear him.

He travels across the United States and around the world speaking at conferences, workshops, retreats, parish missions, high schools, and young adult events – in short, to everyone who desires to know Jesus intimately and enjoy a deeper personal relationship with Him.
