VBS is in the books! What a blast we had "diving" into God's Word this week. 🥽

🌊 We learned that God's love for us in Christ Jesus is deeper than the ocean. He created us and saved us from sin and death, like God saved Jonah from the belly of the fish. 🐋 He gathers us into His church, as Jesus calls us to be fishers of men. 🎣The kids enjoyed learning and growing as children of God. 🐚

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers who made snacks, crafts, music, and games a great success as well! 🦑

Parents, God has given you the responsibility of modeling and teaching the faith to your children. No one has a greater impact on them than you! But this great responsibility is also a joyous gift. And you are not alone. The church is here to equip you to pass on the faith to the next generation.

Faith is given by the Holy Spirit and nurtured daily in the home and in church through God's Word. Read this article from President Sturzenbecher as he reflects on the vital partnership of families and the church in raising up faithful servants for Christ.

The boys of our Trail Life troop played an important role in Mitchell's Memorial Day ceremonies. We remember and give thanks to God for the men and women who laid down their lives in service to our nation and its citizens.

When Neil Armstrong stepped onto the moon, he declared it "one giant leap for mankind." But Jesus' ascension into heaven? That's an infinitely greater leap—and here's the amazing part: where Christ goes, we follow.

Jesus didn't just ascend for Himself. As the perfect human, He paved the way for all of us. In baptism, we die with Him, rise with Him, and yes—we ascend with Him. Right now, your life is "hidden with Christ in God" (Colossians 3). You already reign with Him over sin, death, and the devil, even as you await the fullness of glory on the last day.

This isn't just about floating on clouds someday. It's about living today in the victory Jesus has already won. You are forgiven, free, and secure in His kingdom. Death has no dominion over you. The devil has no power over you. You belong to the King who rules over all things—and you will reign with Him forever.
