This week we looked at goodness as a fruit of the Spirit. Biblical goodness begins with the character of God. God is good, and what He does is good. Through the story of the Good Samaritan, we saw that goodness doesn’t simply notice a need or feel compassion; it seeks what is truly good and moves toward people in practical, sometimes costly ways. Because God has moved toward us in Jesus and given us His Spirit, we can look for opportunities even interruptions to actively do good and “go and do likewise.”

God’s nature and self description is that He is kind! His kindness is shown most fully through Jesus going to the cross. God’s kindness doesn’t ignore sin—it leads us toward repentance, forgiveness, and freedom. When we receive His kindness, His kindness finds us, changes us, and flows through us to others.

This past week, we gathered for a meaningful Prayer & Worship Night, setting aside time to seek the Lord together as a church family. It was a sweet evening of worship, heartfelt prayer, and encouraging conversations as we prayed with and for one another. We’re grateful for the opportunity to grow in community and be reminded of God’s faithfulness as we lift one another up in prayer.
