Happy Labor Day from Church of the Pines!

On this Labor Day, we give thanks for the many ways people use their hands, hearts, skills, and talents to serve their families, communities, churches, and neighbors.

Whether our work takes place in an office, classroom, hospital, workshop, store, home, outdoors, or through volunteering and caring for others, every act of service can make a difference.

Today, we honor the work, celebrate the people, and thank God for the gifts that allow us to serve one another.

"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men." — Colossians 3:23

Wrapping Up Summer Around the Breakfast Table

As August begins to wind down and our thoughts turn toward fall, the men of Church of the Pines gathered for one more summer Men's Breakfast on Thursday morning, August 27, at the Holiday Cafe.

Fourteen men came together for good food, plenty of coffee, conversation, laughter, and fellowship. There's something special about simply sitting around a table together—catching up with old friends, getting to know others a little better, and sharing what's happening in our lives.

As summer visitors begin heading home and the Northwoods slowly starts preparing for a new season, gatherings like this remind us that fellowship doesn't have a season. The table is always a place where friendships can grow, and connections can deepen.

Thank you to everyone who joined us this month! And as we head into fall, there will be another chair waiting at the table.

Our Men's Breakfast is held on the fourth Thursday of each month at 8:00 a.m. at the Holiday Cafe. Whether you attend regularly, haven't been in a while, or have never joined us before, you are always welcome. Note: Because of Thanksgiving and Christmas, the men do not meet for breakfast in November and December.

Come for breakfast. Stay for the fellowship.
