Counting Blessings
We are blessed at Holy Family by countless ministries that make our parish the thriving community it is. These ministries are often driven by the passion of devoted volunteers and staff who typically prefer to work humbly and out of the limelight. A good example is our Garden Angels ministry shown on the front page of this week’s bulletin. You may not know the names of all these “angels”, but hopefully you are witnessing their recent work to improve our landscaping, trim trees, edge sidewalks, and clear the St. Francis prayer trail.
Another wonderful example are all the catechists and aides that have come together to minister to our youth and their families in this year’s Faith Formation program. The success of our program relies on their selfless contribution of their time and talent. At this weekend’s Masses, Fr. Jerry will bless them for their devotion to catechesis and the forming of young disciples. Please join in when Fr. Jerry invites the community to join him in that blessing.
These are just two examples of thriving ministries at Holy Family. I’ll highlight others in future weeks. In the meantime, I hope you’ll join me in praising and thanking God for all those who strengthen our parish life through their contributions of time, talent, and treasure.
