We are a caring, passionate, and diverse congregation of creative and questioning people. We believe in a God of love. We believe God has called diverse and beautifully broken people together for the healing of the world. We believe that God is incarnate in Jesus Christ, still living, working, loving, in our East Side neighborhood and across the world in places like El Salvador and Palestine and o

ur national church the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We believe that the Holy Spirit is working in our world, inside and outside the church. We believe that it is the church’s responsibility to learn from the world, love the world, and be hopeful about the world. We believe that everyone, every life, every person, deserves a community to call home and a loving advocate. We believe that God calls each one of us to make a meaningful impact in our world and in the lives of those around us. We believe many things. But our belief is not a badge of honor that we wear over you or a correct set of doctrines that we judge you by. Our belief is alive and active for the purpose of love. Come, experience what it feels like to hear a loving word from God and then tell us what you believe. Perhaps you get it all better than we do!

Join us for Worship in the Park TOMORROW! 🌳☀️🌻

Join us at Picnic Area #6 beginning at 9am for setup, coffee, donuts, and fellowship. Worship begins at 10am, followed by a potluck lunch, fellowship, games, and plenty of summer fun.

Don’t forget to bring a blanket or camp chairs and sunscreen!

To reach Picnic Area #6 , enter Lake Park off of Lincoln Memorial Drive on the north side of the Park onto N Lake Park Road.

Sunday and Monday: Sunday we worshipped at El Buen Pastor and enjoyed dinner amidst the volcanoes 🌋 Monday we visited Finca Los Angeles and Alegria ending our day at our friends’ home for pupusas dinner. 🍽️ we also had the chance to catch up with former scholarship students who are now running their own businesses- an event decor and flower business (Saturday), a glass window/doors business and a veterinary clinic.

Yesterday’s shenanigans - and learnings. We visited the Artisan market, the Botanical Gardens, the Synod offices to meet with the Bishop an her staff for lunch. Then we visited the Lutheran Cathedral and saw the Subversive Cross and their construction project (Yay for the A/C). Then we visited La Puerto de Diablo - and went zip lining!
