Plans are being finalized for our End of Summer Celebration, coming up this Sunday, September 6! We will celebrate during worship with our annual Hymn Sing, Church School will resume for children and youth with the annual "Blessing of the Backpacks," and we'll host the annual Ice Cream Social on Astor Street following worship. Please help us give a warm farwell to Dr. Randy Bush, who has served as interim minister at Immanuel for the past 28 months. We are so grateful for your leadership and connection to our community! Here are a few words from Dr. Randy:

"My wife Beth & I are extremely grateful for the loving support and warm welcome extended to us over the past 28 months. Choosing to come to Immanuel as your interim minister for my final vocational chapter was an easy decision, given the excellent reputation of the church, the amazing staff, and the dedicated Christian programming of this historic Presbyterian congregation. We will be remaining in the Milwaukee community for the foreseeable future, taking time to travel, to visit our kids, and for me to learn some new piano repertoire. When my year-long "sabbatical" from the church is complete, I look forward to reengaging with you. You are very much in our hearts and prayers as your next chapter unfolds!"

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Dimitri Shapovalov to Immanuel as our new Music Director! Dimitri brings enthusiastic scholarship, energy, experience, and an understanding of music as an integral expression of our faith and life together. He is Professor of Music at Carthage College, where his work as a conductor, pianist, musicologist, and teacher reflects a lifelong engagement with choral music. His choral training began as a scholar at the Glinka Choir School in St. Petersburg, Russia, where he studied choral conducting alongside piano, voice, and other musical disciplines.

We recently hosted a Rise and Shine gathering in our Red Room, welcoming children ages birth to five and their families for dedicated time to play and engage with our church community.
