I was so excited about today's hymns. I picked them specifically for today's sermon, not because they matched today's theme but because who wrote them.

Our first hymn written by George Matheson, a Scottish minister who became blind in his youth. He wrote "O Love That Wilt Not Let Me Go" in 1882.

Our second hymn written by Charlotte Elliott was stricken with a disease that left her physically disabled for the remainder of her life.

These hymns and their writers continue to be a testament to God's willingness to use anyone no matter the capabilities, or their perceived weakness.

Then we have Amazing Grace, a story told about God finding us in the Wilderness of our hearts, curing our spiritual blindness and bringing us home, to Him.

Enjoy listening to these hymns today either before or after the live service. Meditate on their words and let them be an encouragement for you this week.

You’re invited to join us for Ash Wednesday @ 7:15pm as we begin the sacred season of Lent together.

This year, we enter Lent with the theme of Wilderness—that holy space where we are stripped of distractions, reminded of our need for God, and invited to draw closer to Christ. The wilderness is not a place of abandonment, but of encounter. It is where faith is refined, hearts are realigned, and grace meets us in our vulnerability.

Through prayer, Scripture, and the imposition of ashes, we will remember who we are and whose we are. We will mark the beginning of this forty-day journey toward the cross and the hope of resurrection.

Come as you are. Come seeking. Come ready to step into the wilderness, trusting that God walks there with us.

We hope you will join us.

Join us for a Fat Tuesday Feast! 🥞🎉

Before we enter the season of Lent, let’s gather around the table for good food and great fellowship. You’re invited to our Fat Tuesday Meal featuring pancakes, eggs, and sausage—served hot and fresh.

Bring your family, invite a friend, and come hungry! There’s something special about sitting down together before we begin the journey toward the cross and the empty tomb.

We can’t wait to see you there! 🥞✨
