When RAGBRAI rolled through Marshalltown in July, First Presbyterian Church was ready with hospitality. About 40 volunteers served lasagna, spaghetti, green beans, and dozens of donated desserts to riders and crew from 44 states and seven countries, all to fight food insecurity in Marshall County.

The evening raised roughly 6800 dollars after expenses. 2,000 dollars each will go to the Emergency Food Box and the House of Compassion, and all 22 little pantries in Marshall County will receive 100 dollar gift cards.
