"Why do we memorize Scripture? Not because our salvation depends on it; not because God will reject us if we don’t. We memorize Scripture because it is good — because God’s Word is 'perfect, reviving the soul … rejoicing the heart … enlightening the eyes' (Psalm 19). We do it, as Reed Lessing points out, 'because the biblical Word connects us to the incarnate Word, the Word made flesh — Jesus our Lord, who comes for us and for our salvation.'"

Today is our stained glass 60th anniversary!
Installed on September 2nd, 1966. All Glory Be to God on High for the four windows of the chancel (area around the altar) that carry out the theme in each designed window and as a whole,
Immanuel God with us.

It is also the perfect time to remind the community of The Stained Glass tour on Sept 19th. Enjoy a guided tour in your own car following or just riding in the event’s own bus to see community churches and their historical stained glass in Michigan City.

Hail, Thou Galilean King!
Thou didst suffer to release us;

Our Sunday School Rally day is here! Our yearly attendance awards will be presented, 3rd graders will receive their Bibles, Teachers will be installed, and catechisms will be given to our new Confirmation class students.
