Pentecost Sunday was this past weekend, thank you to those who joined us.

The word “Pentecost” (pronounced PEN-tuh-kost) comes from the Greek word pentekostos which means “fiftieth.” Exactly 50 days after Jesus rose from the dead, the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples in the form of flames of fire.

In returning to His Father by way of the cross and resurrection, Christ Jesus sends “the Helper” to His Church, that is, “the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father.”

Pastor Solum is thankful to God and thrilled to announce that Logos Lutheran Academy, a classical Lutheran high school, is now publicly accepting applicants for this fall, 2026! They will be located at Heritage Lutheran Church in Valparaiso. Pastor Solum will be teaching theology and Latin and is on the school board. Please pray for them and all the work they have to do preparing for this first year. Let Pastor know if you have any questions.
