The Spirit arrived right on time — exactly as Jesus promised He would send Him.

He came at Pentecost to signal that this moment was the firstfruits of a far greater harvest God was about to gather.

He came when the nations were present — a global crowd who was astonished, bewildered, and prepared to hear the Gospel, and then carrying that same message back across the known world.

He came with unmistakable signs of God’s presence — wind, fire, and tongues that overcame the very language barrier God Himself established at Babel.

He came in a new way because the age of the Spirit has dawned and still continues today. Even now, He is testifying about Jesus — that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved!

Join us THIS SUNDAY as we begin a new study in our Adult Bible Fellowship: MEETING WITH GOD.
We’ll explore what it truly means to commune with God in a real, personal relationship — and how He invites us to meet with Him regularly in our everyday lives.

If you’ve been longing to build a life that listens to God, speaks with God, and walks closely with God, this is a great opportunity to respond to that calling.

See you Sunday at 9:30 AM in the UBC basement!

Acts 1 gave us a beautiful reminder on Sunday: Christianity didn’t advance because men built a religion — it moved because a living Person, Jesus Himself, has been building His Kingdom. The Church exists because of what Jesus did to build her, He suffered for her, He lived a perfect life to atone for her sins, He bled and died for her forgivness, He resurrected for her redemption and hope, and He empowers and leds His Church to continue His Kingdom work.

He exchanged leading His church in His physical body to leading us by the promised Spirit, but He is by no means done doing His Earthly ministry.

And we are part of His church-building story until He comes back again in the same way He departed....on the cloud.

What a beautiful morning we had yesterday at our annual Praise‑in‑the‑Pavilion Sunday.
Beautiful worship. Beautiful Word. Beautiful brothers and sisters. And above all, a Beautiful Savior who met us and lifted us.

As was preached yesterday "the Church is nothing without Jesus, and UBC is nothing without Jesus". He is everything!

We are so grateful for this church family and the joy of worshiping Jesus together and even outdoors yesterday!

You’re invited!
Join us this Sunday for Praise‑in‑the‑Pavilion — a joyful outdoor morning of worship open to anyone who wants to come. Bring a camp chair or lawn chair, dress comfortably, and enjoy a beautiful (but warm!) summer morning together.

We’re also launching a brand‑new sermon series in the Book of Acts:
Church Set on Fire, World Turned Upside Down — a look at how God builds, empowers, and sends His people.

After the service, we’ll share a Fellowship Potluck right outside. It’s a relaxed, welcoming time to meet new people, enjoy good food, and connect with neighbors and friends.

Outdoor worship, the start of a new sermon series, and food — it’s the perfect day to come. So take that step and say yes to that voice in your heart, and meet us there. We’d love to have you with us this Sunday.

Men, you’re invited!
Our next Manly Musings group is tomorrow night — Wednesday, Aug 16 at 6:30 PM at The Cabin (11541 Wesley Chapel Rd).

We’re kicking off a new study in Titus, and tomorrow we’re diving into what Dominion looks like in the life of a godly man.

If you’re hungry for real conversation, real encouragement, and real brotherhood, this is the place. Come grow, laugh, wrestle with truth, and walk alongside other men pursuing Christ together.

You belong here — join us Wednesday night.

Jesus intends and expects His Church to grow.
He supplies — we serve — fruit happens.

Maturity, unity, and real transformation aren’t optional add-ons. To be stagnant, to “stay the same,” to disconnect from the body, or to live fruitless is disobedience.

Branches have one job: stay connected to the vine.
Members have one job: work together in the body to serve the Head.

When we abide in Christ and each part works as God designed, the church grows up into the fullness and maturity of Jesus.

The heartbeat of the church is simple: Jesus first. When He is our supreme devotion, everything else shifts — our worship, our identity, our mission, our relationships. And true devotion to Jesus always forms a devoted community.

Acts 2 shows a people who didn’t attend church…they were the church. They rearranged their lives around Christ and around one another. They were devoted to the Word, devoted to fellowship, devoted to remembering Jesus, devoted to prayer. And their love wasn’t casual — it was costly and sacrificial.

You can’t say, “I’m all in with Jesus,” while being "all-out" with His people. His bride is imperfect, but she's blood‑bought, Spirit‑filled, beloved by Him, and being sanctified by Him. So we bear burdens, stir one another up, meet together, encourage one another, and love like He loved us.

Our calling is simple: To be a DEVOTED Church who is 'All for Jesus' and 'committed to ane another'.

The Church Is…Led by Christ our Head, who who rules with wisdom and love.
He leads by....
Directing us by His Word, our steady, unchanging authority.
Guiding us through the Holy Spirit, who empowers, convicts, and guides.
Shepherding us through qualified elders, called to care for the flock.
Changing us through prayer, where we seek the Lord’s direction.

A church that follows His lead becomes a church that reflects His glory. The church is not a self-governed people, but a people who are led by the Head of the Church.
