When we can not be there in person
We pray

When troubles abound as we know they will
We pray

When satan comes tempting and trying to destroy
We pray

When things get too much and we feel overwhelmed
We pray

When things are good
We pray

When blessings roll in
We pray

When we are not sure what to do
We pray

When our flesh is weak and alone we are not able, but we know the one who is
We pray

Alone when vulnerable or together in unison
We pray

When we know who holds our future, and what our pasts were like without.
We pray

To get through each day
We pray

To ask for grace, forgiveness, and mercy
We pray

Constantly and never ceasing
We pray

Our state is lined with megachurches.

Big buildings. Big crowds. Big screens. Some of them have sound systems worth more than our entire church, and livestream audiences bigger than our entire congregation.

And there ain’t nothin wrong with that.

But there’s something special about our little country church.

A little congregation out the gravel road that gathers every Sunday and Wednesday. No coffee shop or big lobby, and no fancy laser light show behind the pulpit.

Just two rows of pews, seperated by an aisle. A piano. A preacher. A few red book hymnals, and the occasional guitar or two.

We know who usually sits where and we notice when they ain’t there.

We bow our heads and praise the Lord the same way our parents and grandparents did, and we stand in reverance to God when scripture is read.

We don’t need a building that seats 5,000 people to fill a place with faith. We get "God bumps" just knowing He is near.

The Lord ain’t countin our square footage.

He’s wherever His people gather in His name.

Bigger churches don’t get bigger blessins.

Smaller churches don’t get smaller ones.

A steeple don’t have to scrape the sky for a prayer to reach Heaven, but our knees do hit the alter.

All it takes is folks, showing up, gatherin together, and calling on His Holy name.

The rest, well that's just real estate.

Today, the ladies of our church held a paint party and fellowship with Paint&Create.LLC . Angie was amazing, and our paintings turned out pretty amazing as well!!!

God is good!!!
