We see a Church that develops a system of small groups where individuals can find intimate community, practical help, intensive spiritual interaction, and restoration back to God’s original purpose for their lives. Imagine a Church where each person, regardless of their life stage, will fall in love with the Lord God and with everyday people.

You do not need a dramatic story or a polished testimony to share the gospel. In Acts 11, ordinary believers were scattered by persecution and carried the good news of Jesus Christ with them wherever they went. They did not wait for a sign or embellish their experiences. They simply started where they were and led with Jesus. That same call belongs to every believer today. Wherever life has placed you, you are one of the scattered ones. Grace leads, power follows, and that combination changes individuals, communities, and nations. You already have everything you need to share the hope you carry.

We know children are to honor parents (Ephesians 6:1-3), but scripture warns parents not to provoke their children (Ephesians 6:4) before parents can understand what they think they are owed just because they have children. Parents must first understand what responsibility God has placed on them in entrusting a vulnerable child in their care. As parents we can provoke our children to sin. Inconsistency, humiliation, and excessive control produce resentment, not godliness. Jesus calls us to a higher standard in how we treat the vulnerable in our care, that includes our own children.

It can be easy to assume what honor to parents who treated their children well looks like. But what about honoring parents who abused you? As Christ followers we do not shy away from truth and It's not about pretending the harm was okay. Honor doesn't mean pretending harm was acceptable and that it has to be put up with. True honor means refusing vengeance, speaking truth without contempt, and trusting God with judgment. That's the Christ-centered way; refusing bitterness, speaking truth, and maintaining boundaries and seeking Christ in all things, even where pain from those who were suppose to protect us failed.

Honoring your parents is a biblical command that looks different depending on where you are in life. For young children, honor is expressed primarily through obedience. For adults, it shifts toward respect, wise listening, and care without requiring the same level of submission as childhood. Marriage creates a new household with its own God-given loyalties, and parents are no longer meant to hold authority over their married children. As parents age, honor increasingly looks like responsibility, presence, and provision. Even in cases of harm or dysfunction, honor does not mean pretending the harm was acceptable. It can mean refusing bitterness, speaking truth without contempt, and maintaining wise boundaries. None of us have lived this out perfectly, but Christ offers forgiveness and the power to love our families well in every season.

What does it truly mean to know God? First John chapter two gives us a practical and honest test: genuine faith is visible in how we live. Obedience to the commands of Jesus, including forgiving others, loving one another, and refusing to worry, is the evidence that our relationship with Him is real. We are called to walk as Jesus walked, loving people intentionally, praying for the sick, giving our time, and meeting needs when we see them. Loving other believers is not optional. John makes it clear that hatred toward others is a sign of walking in darkness, not in His light. We are also reminded not to fall in love with the world's system, because we cannot serve both God and the things this world offers. Instead, we are called to know who we are in Christ, forgiven, strong, and overcoming, and to let that identity shape how we live every single day.

God has entrusted every believer with gifts, abilities, and resources, and He calls us to steward them faithfully. Stewardship begins with understanding that we are not owners but caretakers of what belongs to Him. The parable of the talents in Matthew 25 illustrates this clearly: two servants doubled what they were given and were praised equally, while a third buried his out of fear and was rebuked. Faithful stewardship is not about how much we produce but about the posture of our hearts toward God. Solomon is a powerful example of someone who stewarded well at first, then lost his way when the blessing became more important than the One who gave it. God will never give us something that requires us to break His word in order to keep it. Blessings are not meant to stop with us. They are meant to grow and reach others as we remain in active relationship with Christ.

Faith is not about performing miracles or putting on a spiritual show. It is about pressing on through doubt, rejection, and discouragement the way Jesus did. When the people of Nazareth dismissed Him, Jesus did not stop. He went to the next village and kept teaching. Our unbelief can hold us back from receiving what God wants to do in our lives, so we must bring our doubts to Him in prayer rather than letting them grow into full unbelief. The call for every believer is to pray bold, specific prayers that are big enough to actually require God to show up. Jesus walked through the crowd and continued. That is the extraordinarily ordinary life He is calling us into.
