We see a Church that is as committed to the “Word of God” as it is to being “filled with” and “led by” the Spirit of God. A church that is Christ-centered, not “pastor-centered” but full of people who love Jesus, willing to follow Jesus, and reach others for Jesus. We see a Church where the people attend Worship because it is encouraging, exciting, and enjoyable and not out of mere “Christian Duty”

We see a Church that develops a system of small groups where individuals can find intimate community, practical help, intensive spiritual interaction, and restoration back to God’s original purpose for their lives. Imagine a Church where each person, regardless of their life stage, will fall in love with the Lord God and with everyday people.

He's asking for your honesty when you fail and your willingness to receive His grace. Our head pastor and NextGen leaders spent time at Foursquare Connection in San Antonio, Texas, last week, where they experienced a refreshing time of renewal through God's Word. They connected with fellow pastors, leaders, and missionaries. It was a blessed time to observe the Holy Spirit at work and pray about future initiatives that the Lord has laid on their hearts.

Jesus began His ministry by reading from Isaiah 61, outlining His mission to bring good news to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, and proclaim freedom to captives. We all need daily deliverance because our minds become battlegrounds where the enemy plants lies and strongholds that keep us from God's truth. These strongholds are beliefs we've held onto that breed insecurity and fear. The solution is capturing every discouraging thought and giving it to Jesus instead of wrestling with it in our own strength. Rather than focusing on self-esteem, we're called to esteem others better than ourselves, which naturally balances our own sense of worth.
