Ever wonder what you will do with your life? What is your purpose? What career? Get a job or go to college? It is common for our success level is based on our choices, if we earn a lot of money is based on what career path we choose. Much of life seems determined on what we are capable of doing. Although this is true in many ways, we can easily put this same pressure on our success in faith. That if we listen enough we will be wise enough, if we study enough we know enough, if we pray hard enough we will see miracles, if we say the right phrase healing will happen. If we sacrifice enough we will have strong faith.
1 Corinthians 12:7-11; Romans 12:6-8; 1 Peter 10-11 = speaks on gifts given by the Holy Spirit. Each gift to help each other and to serve the LORD.
It can be difficult when to draw the line that we must do something to build in our life, and when to lean on the Holy Spirit. We can do really well at times in trusting that God is building us and other times take over and be the driver. This evening and next week lesson is on the Spiritual gifts, how to recognize them, how to lean into them, and how to exercise them God’s way and when to recognize when we start using them our way.
God is building every generation to navigate the world they are in to lead the world to HIM. He has a purpose and plan for you, even if you may not see it.
