"Faith is actively relying on God's faithfulness during delay and difficulty." - sermon on Genesis 15

Just as Abraham believed God's promise despite impossible odds, we too are called to trust in God's covenant faithfulness. Our righteousness comes not from our works, but through faith in Christ.

Remember:
• God's promises are sure, even when fulfillment seems delayed
• Difficulties may be part of God's plan to mature our faith
• Our hope is anchored in Christ, not our circumstances

"For it has been granted to you on Christ's behalf not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for Him." - Philippians 1:29

In Genesis 13, we see a tale of two perspectives: Abraham's faith vs. Lot's sight. While Lot chose land pleasing to his eyes, Abraham trusted God's promise.

Like Abraham, we face tests in both scarcity AND abundance. Where are your eyes fixed? On temporary earthly gains or eternal heavenly promises?

Remember: Christ fulfills God's covenant with Abraham through us - His church! We are Abraham's offspring by faith, called to be a blessing to all nations.

Return to our first love when we stumble

Look to God's provision, not worldly solutions

Extend grace and hospitality to others

"Welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God." - Romans 15:7

When famine strikes your life, where do you turn? 🤔

In times of crisis, it's tempting to seek worldly solutions. But God's faithfulness remains constant, even when ours falters.

Key takeaways from Genesis 12:10-20:
• Look to God's faithfulness, not your circumstances
• Beware of finding relief in what the world offers
• God's grace prevails despite our failures

Remember: Nothing can stand in the way of God's covenant promises. Not famine, not foolishness, not foreign powers.

The call of Abraham teaches us that God's redemptive plan is bigger than we can imagine. Just as He called Abraham to leave everything behind and step into the unknown, God calls us today to trust Him completely.

In life's storms of betrayal and pain, we often want to fly away like a dove. But Psalm 55 reminds us there's a better way:

Cast your burdens on the Lord. He will sustain you.

Jesus understands betrayal deeply. Whether you've been betrayed or you're the betrayer, His grace is sufficient.

Find refuge in prayer. Endure to the end.

Remember: In awful, no-good, horrible, very bad circumstances, we can find help in Christ.

"The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.' - Psalm 53:1

Today's sermon reminder: We all have the capacity for foolishness, rejecting God's wisdom for our own ways. But there's hope! Christ alone can save us from our own foolishness and the folly of others.

Key takeaways: • Biblical foolishness isn't about intelligence, but intentionally rejecting God • We're all prone to foolish choices • God offers deliverance through Jesus Christ • Daily repentance keeps us on the path of wisdom

"Genuine, humble repentance leads to God's mercy and forgiveness through Christ." - Psalm 51

No matter how far we've fallen, God's grace is greater. King David's prayer in Psalm 51 reminds us that:

• We all need God's mercy
• True repentance comes from a broken heart
• Only God can cleanse and renew us
• Christ fulfills our need for forgiveness
• A changed life leads to praise and evangelism

Remember: In Christ alone, our hope is found. His finished work on the cross washes us whiter than snow.

No matter how rich or poor we are, death is the great equalizer. But there's hope beyond the grave! 🙏

• Don't put your trust in riches
• Jesus paid the ransom we couldn't afford
• Live wisely, treating money as a tool, not a god

"For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?" - Mark 8:36
