And He did by the shedding of His own blood. Jesus saved my life and gave me new life. Only by the blood of Jesus, through faith and repentance, may a person be saved. He died for the sins of the world; any who believe may receive the forgiveness of sins and everlasting life. Thank you Jesus and our heavenly Father who sent us the Savior of the world!

The Lord God alone truly satisfies our longing souls. The pursuits of this life won't do it. The people around us won't do it. Nothing can because only God is enough. And only those who hunger and thirst for righteousness will be satisfied, for they are blessed by the Lord. Give thanks to the Lord for His lovingkindness!

We have a job to do. We are the people of God, called to be the light to the world by pointing them to the Light of the world, the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the Father but by Him. Carry out the King's commands and don't worry too much over things you have no control over. Trust in the Lord and the strength of His might.

Follow the Lord now and make no excuses for delaying obedience. Do not put your hand to the plow only to turn back. Such a one is not fit for the Kingdom of God. A disciple must be willing to sacrifice all for the sake of Christ and the Kingdom. 👇

Luke 14:26-33 “If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it? Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one coming against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions."

Are we truly known by our love for one another? So often, many think they are loving towards the brethren; but sadly, many are distant and impersonal. It's hard to be loving or to claim to be loving when we put up a million walls and live isolated and disconnected lives.

Are we truly known by our love or are we known by our own self interests? If we're not known by our love, may we return to our first love that may we become more like our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and walk in love as Christ loved us and gave Himself up for us. Let us pursue maturity in the faith, to become a spotless, undefiled bride known by our love for God and for others, especially those of the household of faith.

God's people have always been ridiculed and slandered by those who hate the truth. It's also not uncommon for the believer to suffer persecution for the sake of the gospel. Because of this, many have cowered and refused to speak truth for the sake of the lost one.

But true love will cause one to be willing to expose sin and error--not because they are self-righteous--but because they earnestly desire that all should turn from their sin and be saved. Do not let the world shame you and call you a bigot for desiring that they turn from their wickedness to the living God to receive the forgiveness of their sins and salvation. It's worth taking on the hatred of the world to save even one of these lost ones. And should you suffer as a result, then you are blessed in the eyes of the Lord. Therefore, it is good to suffer for righteousness' sake.

It's perfectly fine to teach what you know and to offer counsel and insight, but we must be careful not to fall into the trap of indoctrinating others to our every thought and opinion. The Holy Spirit is the best teacher, and the Scriptures were given by inspiration of God to reveal His truth to us. We all have a duty to study the Scriptures and to seek God's will and His truth for ourselves. Having wise teachers is very good but that never replaces the need for each of us to seek truth for ourselves. And no one has authority over the word of God. Truth is better than indoctrination.
