Beloved, we must always remember that truth matters. Falsehoods do no one any good and may even lead to condemnation, but the truth shall set us free. Not every theological point is life or death but we should desire to know what's true and what's not all the same. We should care infinitely more what God has actually said and revealed through His word over the opinions of others or what traditions we have been taught.

If truth truly matters to you, you will be willing to be proven wrong about anything should the Scriptures prove you wrong. But if you refuse to abandon ideas that can't be proven in the Scriptures or even consider you might be wrong, then there's a good chance truth is not so important to you after all.

Being wrong isn't the end of the world. No doubt, we've all believed wrong things at many times. But it is good to seek truth and to be ready when God shows you that you're in the wrong. Let us always be humble and teachable. Truth matters!

Our God brings the dead to life! Thanks be to God who, by the giving of His Son Jesus Christ, raised us to new life. And He has given us His Spirit as a guarantee of the life we have in Him. Our God did this, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but by His grace toward us, that all who have faith and call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved! Bless the Lord, O my soul!

Riches will not profit anyone in the day of wrath. No one can take their wealth or their material successes with them when they die. We should not be arrogant in ourselves. Material wealth is not a sign of being godly, and only those who are God's shall have their souls redeemed from the power of death. Trust not in riches or your own success, lest you perish and become as the beasts. Trust rather in God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who by His own blood has redeemed us from the power of sin and death. Praise the Lord!

Here is a very important question to ask in the church: Are we more influenced by the culture or by the teachings of Christ?

The culture constantly changes, but Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them all that Christ has commanded you; for, ALL authority in heaven and on earth has been granted to Him. God has always been the rightful King over all the earth. God reigns over all the nations of the earth, and all must answer to Him when His judgements come. And though all past kingdoms had rejected Him and chosen for themselves a mere man to rule over them, God ultimately sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, another King, who is the King of kings and Lord of lords. The Lord Jesus is no mere man, but is also God, and He is the rightful King. After dealing with the problem of sin by the shedding of His own blood, He rose from the dead and ascended on high to take His rightful place on His throne. Jesus Christ is at the right hand of the Father, and He rules over all. Not all obey Him, but all will be judged because of Him and His words. Jesus is the door that we must enter by. All who don't enter by Him will be cast out of God's eternal kingdom. In the end, only God's Kingdom will endure forever. Trust in Jesus. Bow to the one true King!

Looking at beautiful skies and awesome sights in nature are just a couple things that really help me to remember to think of God and thank Him for all He has done for us. The truth is, there are so many constant reminders throughout each and every day, but we have to be consciously looking for them. Don't let the wonders of God pass you by. Brethren, we must keep watch over our tongues. We must give an account for every careless, idle word we speak. Our words ultimately reveal what's in our hearts and thus our character. "Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit."

Many today teach that man is inherently immortal, but the Biblical teaching is that God alone possesses immortality. Many teachers and preachers say a lot of things, but we must carefully compare all claims to the revelation given to us. God alone possesses immortality, and man can only attain everlasting life by being in Christ Jesus. Thank God for the gift of eternal life with our great God!

Do not lose heart when you face trials of various kinds. In fact, count it all joy, for that testing will produce endurance. And if we allow that testing to strengthen endurance in us, we grow up into more maturity and completeness, and we find ourselves more reliant upon God and His strength rather than our own. But if we grumble and complain and view trials and tribulations as mistakes that we shouldn't have to go through, we lose out on an opportunity meant for growth. To become mature, we must be tested, and we must endure and learn from the trials. Complaining simply does us no good.

And how much more should we rejoice in our suffering for Christ? Some trials are just general life struggles, but the trials we endure for Christ cause us to share in His sufferings. And if we allow it, we will be shaped more and more into His likeness. But we must be open to suffering and not resist it. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ suffered for us all, and we too will suffer for Christ in this life. A servant is not greater than His Master. We may have tribulations in this world, but take heart, for Jesus Christ has overcome the world!

Freedom in Christ is not freedom to sin. Rather, it is the freedom from sin (See John 8:31-36 for example). This thought that we can sin and it doesn't matter because we have "Christian Liberty" is a lie from Satan. There are liberties granted to us but even those are never meant to be abused (See Romans 14). People who think sin no longer matters argue that since we are saved, ultimately sin is not a problem. But does God's Word ever suggest such a thing? "How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?"

Be obedient to Christ. Do not be conformed to this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Do you not know the victory you have in Christ? And would you then submit yourself to another to become a slave once again to sin? Be slaves to righteousness, for it is well worth it to suffer for righteousness' sake, but to suffer for evil profits you nothing. To continue in sin means death, but to walk in righteousness, to live a life of faith, means life everlasting. We are saved by grace through faith, but our works will reveal the type of people that we are. Will you be a slave of sin and ultimately death, or will you be a servant of God and choose life?Serve the King of kings and Lord of lords faithfully until the end!
