Golden Gate Cathedral Memphis We exist so that lives may be transformed by Christ so transformation can take place in the community

Sometimes God isn’t punishing you by emptying your hands; He’s preparing your capacity. You’re moping over what you lost, but God is looking at what He’s prepared for you to discover. If God emptied it, it’s because it couldn’t sustain where He’s taking you.

Stop crying over the "empty" and start mastering the "now" so you’re ready for the "next".

Why are important?

Because the atmosphere meets you exactly where you find yourself in life—no performance required.

We’ve all had those moments where the mind says "God is good," but the heart says "this is hard." This past Sunday, as "The Blessing" 🎶 was declared over the house, Pastor Eron dropped a much-needed reminder for those in-between "gap" moments: we have to lean into what we know even when we can’t feel it.

We aren't just surviving the fire; we are being sustained by the God of the Middle.

"When What You Know and What You Feel Don’t Match" — 1 Peter 1: 3 — 6
Executive Pastor Eron J. Stephens | Sunday, April 26, 2026

1. The Gap is Human >>> Feeling a distance between what you know to be true about God and how you feel right now doesn't mean your faith is broken; it means you are human. Faith was never designed to eliminate the gap, but to hold you within it.

2. Faith is an Anchor >>> An anchor doesn’t stop the storm or calm the waves; it simply holds the ship while the storm passes. Faith isn't the feeling of certainty; it's what holds you in the absence of it.

3. Living vs. Dead Hope >>> Dead hope is tied to circumstances that can fail or change. Living hope is tied to the resurrected Christ—it cannot perish, spoil, or fade, and it isn't moved by what didn't work out.

4. Coexisting Emotions >>> 1 Peter 1:6 shows that joy and grief can exist in the same season, the same verse, and the same heart. You don’t have to wait for the grief to end to experience the joy of the Lord.

5. You Won't Break >>> Being held by God doesn't mean nothing in your life will break, it just means you won’t. Every painful situation has an expiration date, but God’s inheritance for you is eternal.

🔑 God is the Alpha and the Omega, but He is also the God of the Middle. He may not always remove the fire, but He will always step into the fire with you to sustain you.

🗣 Stop trying to close the gap with your own strength! You might feel the pressure, but you aren’t defined by the struggle. God didn’t call you to just survive; He called you to occupy your purpose.

Psalm 122:1
[1] I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!"

"I Am Still Glad" — Psalms 122:1
Dr. Kenneth N. Reed, Sr. | Sunday, April 19, 2026

1. Don't Miss the Appointment – Life is made up of moments that demand a choice. Remember, God is not obligated to reschedule an appointment just because you didn't show up for the moment.

2. Movement Over Emotions – Don't let your feelings distract your movement. It takes effort to get into the house, but the return is always greater than the sacrifice it took to get there.

3. Get All the Way In – It’s possible to be at the house but not in the house. Stop sitting in the "parking lot" of your potential and get into the contagious anointing of the presence.

4. Spiritual Amnesia is Real – When you lose your joy, check your memory. If you think of the goodness of Jesus and how He’s kept you, your "Hallelujah" will always find its way back.

5. Gladness is a Perspective – You’ve been woken up every Sunday, year after year. Stop walking into the house with a "mad" spirit when you have a "kept" testimony.

🔑 Who are you inviting to see the goodness of God this week? Don't just be the member; be the invitation!

🗣 Your trouble wasn't wasted, but your joy is if you're still coming in mad. Pour out the drama so He can pour in the double!

This Sunday, our youth leaned into a powerful lesson on endurance—learning how to stand strong through the tests of life.

They didn’t just hear the Word… they wrote it, spoke it, and claimed it: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" and "Blessed are those who endure when they are tested. When they pass the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." 💪🏽✨

Watching them declare affirmations with confidence and faith was a reminder to all of us—endurance isn’t about having it all together, it’s about trusting the One who gives us strength to keep going.

No matter what comes their way, they are equipped. They are covered. They are capable.

Take a look at how they reminded themselves who they are and Whose they are. ❤️

"Don't Go Back To The Grave" — John 20:1-18
Bishop Ed Stephens, Jr | Sunday, April 12, 2026

1. A Shift in Perspective >>> Mary Magdalene arrived at the tomb expecting to find a body, but the empty tomb was proof that God was doing a new thing.

2. The Danger of the Past >>> It is easy to gravitate back to the "grave"—the familiar places of grief, failure, exes or old habits—when things get difficult.

3. Stop Looking Down >>> Like Mary, we often focus on the empty space (the loss) rather than the living Savior standing right behind us.

4. Recognize His Voice >>> Jesus called Mary by name. When the world calls you by your past, listen for the Master who calls you by your purpose.

5. Don't Cling to the Old >>> Jesus told Mary, "Do not hold on to me," signaling that the way we relate to Him must evolve as we move into a new season.

6. The Assignment >>> Mary was the first to announce the Resurrection. Your deliverance isn't just for you; it's a message for the "brothers" and the world.

🔑 What old habit, dead relationship, or past failure are you still visiting? The stone is already rolled away, but you have to decide to walk away from the cemetery.

🗣 Leave the grave clothes behind and step into your new season. Jesus is calling your name—don't answer to your past, answer to Him! Move forward!
