House of Prayer International COGIC, was founded October 4, 1998 by Elder Walter B. The church's beginning was in a small building located on the property of Darwin Temple COGIC (now known as Deliverance Temple Ministries COGIC). Services were held every Sunday evening at 3:00pm. At the very first service, Elder Peterson opened the doors of the church to anyone who was interested in joining. Amazi

ngly 4 new members became a part of the House of Prayer family. (Toriono Garvin, Renita Hoskins, Claiborne McGowan, and Gwendolyn Willis). Afterwards, souls were added to the church and the ministry began to grow. In 1999, the late Elder Jack Hunt, pastor of Darwin COGIC, extended the invitation to Elder Peterson to visit the C.H. Mason Memorial District Fellowship Meeting under the leadership of Supt. and District Miss'y Virgie LaFlora. Elder Peterson was led and inspired by God to join the district and was welcomed wholeheartedly by the late Bishop G.E. Patterson, who served as the Jurisdictional Prelate of TN 4th Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. In 2000, Elder Peterson began seeking the Lord for another place to worship and in December 2000, the church moved to a store front facility. The saints labored and toiled for many years at this location. The vision God gave to Elder Peterson, instructing him how to lead us to our earthly promise land was definitely a faith-journey. In 2008, House of Prayer purchased and paid CASH for more than 5 acres of land located on Wilson Road. In 2009, 4 acres of land adjacent to our land was given to the church as a gift. To God be the Glory! We continued to work for the Lord, encountering many battles, but we remained encouraged believing God for our Miracle. In 2011, House of Prayer's name was changed to House of Prayer International. Finally in 2013, after being there for over a decade, preparations began for us to move to our God given destiny. December 21, 2014, the saints at House of Prayer International held our first official service located at 1757 Wilson Road in our brand new mortgage free church. This is the Lord's doing and it's marvellous in our eyes! Psalm 118:23

MONDAY MANNA
DICE, DIGEST or DISCREDIT
Whose report will you listen to? When someone brings news to you; what do you do with it? Do you Dice it and cut into smaller messages? Do you Digest it and think over and arrange in your mind? Or, do you Discredit it and don’t believe? Think about it momentarily.
When God speaks, are you listening? Are you Dicing the good news and reading God’s word daily? Are you Digesting the good news and applying it to yourself? Or, are you Discrediting the good news and refusing to obey the truth?
Become a hearer and doer of the word of the Lord. God takes great pleasure and is highly pleased when you choose to become receptive, open and receive. Someone may ask, “Does God speaks?” Yes. God speaks in profound manners. He is the Great I Am. God can speak or say whatever He wants to; whenever He wants to, as well as speak through whomever or whatever He chooses anytime and anywhere!
Revelation 2:7a (KJV)
7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches;

MONDAY MANNA
CLEAN HEART
In order to have a pure and clean heart, you must be in Christ Jesus. This simply means that you belong to God; and God is the pilot of your life. Your lifestyle and way of living is aligned to do what is pleasing and acceptable unto the Lord. Your heart, mind, body and soul are destined to please God in every way.
With care and diligence, you strive daily to be obedient to God’s Holy word and to be a light to those around you. Your light shines brightly beckoning as a “lighthouse.”
Having a sincere heart and wholehearted will to give God total adoration as Lord and Savior of your life is one that doeth and practices truthfulness having a clean heart.
You cannot be a follower of God and Satan at the same time and have a Clean Heart. It won’t work. Therefore, choose to live righteously by keeping and hiding God’s word in your heart.
Psalm 119:11 (KJV)
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

MONDAY MANNA
WALK IN THE LIGHT!
Naturally, when you are walking: you are moving; following a course of action or way of life, manner of living, conduct, behavior… To walk in the light for Jesus is your manner of living is directed by the guidance of Him. He is the captain and you are the follower.
When you’re walking in the light---you’re as a lighthouse that can be seen by others all around and transparent [easily detected]. You’ll never have to wear a sign to advertise that you are a believer and servant of God because the light within is clear, obvious and is definitely evidence.
Just live right. Be obedient to God’s word. Serve Him wholeheartedly. Choose you this day whom you want to be slave and servant too. Walking in the Light is being a servant to God; Walking in Darkness is being a servant to Satan.
Isaiah 2:5 (KJV)
5 O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.
