At that time, our church was located on 1460 Airways. Through Pastor Patton's teaching and leadership the Lord blessed us spiritually and financially by adding more members to our congregation. In 1974, the Lord gave Pastor Patton a vision to buy another building and the church relocated to 602 West Peebles Rd. Our membership continued to grow and that year 54 new members were added to our church
roll. The church continued to prosper greatly in outgrew the building.Because of faithful members, the Lord blessed Freedom with an enormous gift. In June 1978, Pastor Patton and the members moved to 1665 Rainer St.. The move tremendously blessed the church under Pastor Patton's pastorial guidance several ministers and one missionary announced their calling into the ministry.They are as follows : Pastor Lucius Barber, Co-Pastor Sidney Patton , Minister Lester Buckley , Minister Seneca Harris, Pastor Andy Fluker , Pastor Allen Patton , Minister Larry Tucker Minister, Mary Williams, Minister Stephanie Williams, Minister Shemeka Tillery, and Missionary Sally Turner. Under our Pastor's teaching of the word of God many souls have been saved and baptized. Immensely our membership has grown. Hundreds of individuals have been added to the church roll. In addition to the church growth, other great accomplishments such as purchasing several lots, two 15 seat passenger vans, two 46 passenger buses, a daycare facility, and initializing the senior citizen and prayer band ministry. Our kitchen ministry prepared food to feed the hungry twice weekly. Also, the church began to offer summer camp and vacation bible school as a result of our Pastor's expertise. In April 2005, because we serve an amazing God, Pastor Patton and members Freedom Baptist Church family celebrated in groundbreaking ceremony at our current location. On January1, 2006 following the Lord's Vision, Pastor Patton and members Freedom Baptist Church family celebrated our ribbon cutting in grand opening celebration at 4720 Boiengshire Dr. Memphis ,TN , 38116. God is allowing this ministry to share the good news of Jesus Christ throughout the neighborhood and community and soon the world. With the Lord on our side Freedom Baptist Church will continue to reach the unreachable compel the untouchable, guide the lost, and revive the saved and also always remembering to give all the Praise, Glory, Victory, and Credit to God, the Father, Son, And Holy Ghost.
