Just wanted to share something that occurred today with a locally owned business...
Faith Automotive is located at Macon and Germantown Rd, a few minutes outside of the Bartlett borders, but the owners are from here in Bartlett. A few days ago, the rear A/C went out on our vehicle, which is more than just a minor inconvenience for us because we have multiple children with special needs, including 3 who have seizures that are triggered by heat, and we have a solid month of doctor appointments and other things ahead of us in this already oppressive heat/humidity. Overheating could be life-threatening for some of our kids. My sweet husband worked on it earlier in the week, but the problem was much more complex than something he could do quickly in our driveway. We were starting to panic a bit because every dealership/shop we called told us that if we brought it in, we were looking at a minimum of 3 weeks before we'd have it back, and that's just not an option. All it takes is one seizure or episode of heart arrythmia or other medical issue and we are en route to the hospital- we cannot be without a vehicle that can haul the wheelchairs and such that we need!
I was almost in tears this afternoon when I finally reached someone at Autonation Ford at Wolfchase (originally I said Homer Skelton in Millington, I was calling so many places and going back and forth on google, I must have thought I was talking to one dealership but really talking to a different one! So sorry!), who recommended I contact Chris Longo at Faith Automotive at 990 N Germantown Rd. I called, and explained our situation to his wife (Michelle Longo), who quickly worked out a solution for us to bring the van in this afternoon. I thought we were just going in for him to figure out what was wrong, and then we'd have to bring it back another day (or try to fix it ourselves) but just a few hours later, my husband was home with it and the A/C is completely fixed. His prices were reasonable and they were SO wonderful to work with- clearly very ethical, efficient, and honest.
We are so grateful that we can transport our precious babies safely now, and I didn't have to reschedule all the appointments we have booked (some we've been waiting on for months, because the specialists are so booked up). I've never seen a mechanic shop work that fast, but they were amazing. I know we don't normally promote businesses here unless they are inside Bartlett, but since the owners are part of our Bartlett community, I hope it's ok.
I can confidently say- if you need your vehicle serviced, call them. They do great work, and have kind hearts as well. They have the kind of old-fashioned service that you don't see many places nowadays, where people are courteous and caring, and take pride in a job well done.
