One Body, One Voice, United in Worship

Presiding Elder, Pastor Phil Bland, led eleven churches here in the Rio Grande Valley of the Mid Texas Annual Conference of the Global Methodist Church through their collective annual business meeting this past Sunday evening at Foundations Methodist Church in McAllen, Texas. Actually, it was more worship and sharing God's Word, but now we can all navigate 2026 with our church leadership, pastors, and budgets officially approved and ready to go! Churches attending traveled from as far away as Laredo. We were so blessed to be able to host this event.

What a beautiful Christmas Eve moment
seeing these kiddos we watched grow up now grown and together again at Foundations Methodist Church! This filled our hearts with so much gratitude. A powerful reminder of God’s faithfulness through every season. Merry Christmas and God bless.

In "Experiencing God Day by Day," Henry and Richard Blackaby point out today that there are no shortcuts to spiritual maturity.

The Christian life is hard work. It involves systematically striving to implement the truths of God's Word into our lives - EVERYDAY!

Spiritual depth and maturity do not come without consistent effort and obedience to God's Word over the long haul.

Matthew 7:24 teaches that we are to build our faith on the rock!

As we wait patiently for the birth of the baby, when God physically broke into human history with the incarnation of Christ, let us continue to prepare, not just for December 25, but for the long haul!
