Life can leave us searching.

Searching for peace.
Searching for hope.
Searching for something that will finally satisfy.

But the question behind every search is this:

Who else is worthy?

Who else can carry our burdens?
Who else can forgive our sins?
Who else defeated death and offers eternal life?
Who else loves us at our worst and never lets go?

The answer is Jesus.

No matter what you’re facing today…fear, anxiety, regret, loneliness, or uncertainty.

there is One who is worthy of your trust, your worship, and your life.

No one compares to Him.

“and said to David, “You are more righteous than I, for you have done what is good to me though I have done what is evil to you.”
‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭24‬:‭17‬

One of the hardest things is being nice to someone who has made your life miserable. It’s like letting someone merge in front of you after they’ve flown past twenty cars in the left lane. I want to put them in the ditch. Yet, I let them in anyway. Here David had the perfect opportunity to get even with Saul, who had chased him, lied about him & tried repeatedly to kill him. But when David found Saul vulnerable in the cave, he refused to take revenge, but showed mercy. Saul was so overwhelmed by David’s kindness & said, “You are more righteous than I, for you have done what is good to me though I have done what is evil to you.” Returning good for good is easy. Returning evil for evil is natural. Returning good for evil is supernatural. That’s the kind of heart God wants me to have. Every time we choose kindness over retaliation, we look a little more like Jesus. If I could just remember David in the cave when I think people deserve punishment. Showing mercy when everyone expects revenge, is so hard. And who knows, your kindness might hit them harder than any comeback ever could.

“The Tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness.”
Proverbs 15:2

We all take in information every day. From news we read or listen to, to simple conversations with others, we gain knowledge all the time. However, what we do with that information or knowledge is what matters. The bible gives two comparisons here. It says we can be wise and use it “rightly” or we can be foolish. If we need an example of foolishness just check our phone. People say some of the craziest things! They get a little info about something and then word or video vomit all over social media like they are an expert. But in reality, they are really just voicing their own foolishness. Using knowledge rightly means knowing when to share or not share. When to speak up and not speak up. Do we ever stop and simply ask God, “what would you like me to do with the knowledge I just gained?” The point of this verse is that wise people will stop and think before they speak, because their desire is not to be heard, but to use what knowledge they have for good. It is a heart thing! How do you use the knowledge you have? Just something to think about. Love ya!

Sunday Recap – Day 4: The Lights of Creation 🌎✨

This Sunday we continued our “In the Beginning” series by looking at Genesis 1:14–19 and the purpose of the lights God placed in the heavens.

🌟 The Lights Are for Signs (v.14)

* Creation points us to a Creator.
* The sun, moon, and stars reveal God’s greatness, power, and glory.
* Every time we look up, we are reminded that we did not arrive here by accident

God spoke it all into existence.

📅 The Lights Are for Seasons (v.14)

* God uses the heavenly lights to mark days, years, and seasons.
* Every season of life ultimately points us back to Him.
* In just a few words, Scripture reminds us, “He made the stars also.”

The God who formed countless stars is worthy of our worship and trust.

Big Idea:

“The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.” – Psalm 19:1
