Talk: What is sin? How should we address sin in the world? How should sin inside the church be dealt with?

Text: For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Purge the evil person from among you.” 1 Corinthians 5:12-13

Truth: God does not want sin to be allowed in His body.

Fun Friday:

Today get a big group together and go play baseball. If you are not able to get a group together then go watch a baseball or softball game and cheer on the local team. During your night talk about the importance of every position and how the game would be much harder if one of the positions was missing. Finish by connecting that to the importance of everyone in the church.

Talk: Do you prefer to do things alone or as a group? When you are a part of the team do you worry about your own success or the whole teams success? Does a team do well if it is just a bunch of individuals? What do you think it looks like to be a part of a community that believes the same thing? Why would it be important for them to believe the same thing and head in the same direction?

Text: But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. 1 Corinthians 12:18-20

Truth: Everyone who believes is a part of the body of Christ and is necessary to the health of the church.
