PLIA

PLIA stands for Putting Love Into Action and is a student run club at Dordt College. PLIA was founded in 1981.

The purpose of the club is to organize a student led spring break mission trip of 8 to 10 students to 14 different sites nationally. In 1982, a group of college students wanted to use their spring break to serve others by working with others. The desire to serve the Lord and His people has grown over the years and now there are up to 12-15 different locations that are being visited! We encourage y

ou to join us this year as we put God's love into action! The goal of PLIA is to share Christ’s love with people in diverse communities; to challenge participants to adopt a more service-oriented lifestyle; and to assist and encourage the growth of ministry centers with which they work.

We ended the year with one last lunch together celebrating all the joys from PLIA this year and the ways we saw God work.

We especially want to thank our seniors Colton, Brayton, and Elena for the ways they have poured into PLIA the last few years. With this, we also want to thank Sam Ashmore who has also spent countless hours making PLIA run smoothly! We will miss all of them next year, but are thankful for the ways we got to see them serve! If you see Colton, Brayton, Elena, or Sam, tell them thank you for the time and dedication they have put into PLIA!

We are already so excited for PLIA 2026! Have a great summer, and we’ll see you next fall :)

Time flies! It’s already been one month since PLIA 2025🤯

We are incredibly grateful for another spring break filled with service, relationship building, and watching students grow in their walk with the Lord! Thank you to everyone who supported these trips financially or in prayer. PLIA truly is a special week and we couldn’t do it without you!
