This Sunday at Rhythm, Week 3 of "Animals in the Bible" . . . they marched in two by two . . . that's right, it's Noah's Ark! What can we learn from Noah and the animals?

Bring a favorite stuff animal, animal toy, or come dressed as your favorite animal!

Week two in our series on Animals in the Bible had us thinking about fish. 153 fish to be exact (John 21)! Then we took part in a visual prayer exercise but writing a prayer, putting it on a boat, and sending across the sea.

Which character(s) did you relate to the most?
—the fishermen who are tired from working all night with no results
—Peter who was so anxious to get to Jesus that he jumped out of the boat
—the disciples to whom Jesus said, “bring some of the fish you have just caught,” thus inviting them into participation

So cool to have Jamie from Roadkill to share his snakes with us this morning. Since God made animals, all animals are “good!” Even the ones that are sometimes a little ‘scary’ to us!

Alright, Rhythm! Our kids' groups are now on pause for the summer, so let's have some fun together as a family while we continue to explore the Word together. This Sunday we start a short series on Animals in the Bible.

Did you know there are hundreds of references to animals in the Bible? Don't worry, we're not going to cover each of them, but we will dig into a few of the prominent passage that feature animals.

To drive the message home, we're asking all of the children (and any adults too!) to dress up this Sunday as their favorite animal. Come in your favorite animal-themed pajamas, or make your own costume.

Let's explore what God has to say about His wonderful creation, and see what we can learn about Him and ourselves in the process!
