Living Free Iowa seeks to offer restorative care to women who find themselves working through addictions, post-incarceration, abuse, depression, etc. We will offer women a variety of avenues to receive support, encouragement, friendship, education, and spiritual/emotional healing.

God is good!!!!
As we embark on our 10th year…it is the “small” day in day out, showing up (whether you are feeling it or not.) moments that build the foundation and structure of something that lasts.
Understanding your role is simply to love and point people to Jesus. Jesus is all that matters, everything else is just noise.

All of us at Living Free are deeply grateful for each of you. We recognize that our existence is a direct result of your time, talents, giving, and prayers.

One of our main goals is to provide a safe space for women to build a solid foundation for their lives through Jesus, to heal, and to grow into who God has called them to be in Him.

A couple of our needs:
we do need volunteers, women coming alongside women to encourage, build up, and be a friend.

We are also looking for monthly donors to help us with the needs of the houses and operating expenses. We are all volunteers, and all your donations go directly to the needs at hand.

Each of us brings what we have, whether it be time, talent, or giving, and we bring it to Jesus, much like the boy who brought 5 loaves and a few fish for the massive crowds. Although it seemed insufficient, he gave it to Jesus, and Jesus transformed it into more than enough. In fact, there was an abundance left over. So, we bring what we have, and sometimes it may seem insignificant, but we give it to God and pray that He brings the increase. He meets the needs, heals, and restores; He accomplishes it.
I encourage you to pray this over your own life, that you will bring what you have, stop judging it, and let God do what He desires with it. You will be amazed, and it will exceed your expectations.
God is amazing like that.

We are seeking Christian women who are passionate about empowering (helping, coming alongside) another woman in one of our homes through discipleship, transition, and friendship. P.S. God continues to remind me to bring what we have to him, and he will provide the increase to meet the need of whatever situation we encounter. He reminds me not to judge what we bring, but simply to bring it in obedience to him. We don’t know what our obedience to God will unlock or how it will touch other peoples lives. Faith, truth and love and obedience are our tools!

One thing that stood out to me in this conference that I went to this past Wednesday, was a woman there who had been in prison for 17 years.
she talked about a group of people who were faithful and obedient to go into the prison and become a support system to her and share the gospel, and now she was in front of a group of people sharing and she was now a part of this team that went out and provided support for women in prison and coming out of prison. She radiated the peace of God. A seed was planted in her heart through the Holy Spirit and a ripple of obedience!

We are seed sowers! God is working always!

Living Free is currently taking applications for residency in one of our homes. We are looking for women who are actively seeking to change their lives for the better and need an accountable, supportive, faith-based environment to help them along the way. They have to be able to work a job at least 30 hours a week and are enthusiastic about participating in the house and the supportive programming we have in place. If you or someone you know fits this description, reach out to us through messenger and we will get an application to you.
