"If untrue Christianity is of no importance, but if true it is of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is mildly important."
After a fantastic Easter season and the largest-attended service in the history of One Church, I return to this quote from C.S. Lewis. "The only thing Christianity cannot be is mildly important."
I am reminded of Jesus' condemnation of the Church in Laodicea. "But since you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I spit you out of my mouth." -Revelation 3:16
So Church...Nearly two weeks removed from the Easter celebration, how would you describe your faith today? The season is over, but let's not let that be an excuse for lukewarm faith. Let's make our faith of infinite importance like it is every single Easter, because, as Lewis said, "the only thing our faith cannot be is mildly important."
Let's develop faith of infinite importance together. See you Sunday morning!!
