Fact # 1: Maturing in our walk is NOT a suggestion. 2 Peter 3:18
Sanctification to set it apart for special use. 1 Thessalonians 5:23
Long for the pure milk of the Word. 1 Peter 2:2- Learn theology!
Grow in obedience and understanding of His Word. Philippians 2:12

Fact # 2: We are called to be His faithful witnesses. Jude 3
Tell of what they have seen and heard. Psalm 118:17
Believers are not to live for themselves, but to bring others to Jesus. Matthew 28:19-20
Transformation from self (fear) to God-centered (courage). John 3:30

Fact # 3: We are called to bodily and humbly speak the truth in love. 1 Peter 3:14-15
Don’t fear man and what they can do. Acts 5:29 and Psalm 118:6
Focus our attention on the Lord pleasing an audience of one. Acts 7:55

Fact # 4: Be faithful until death. Revelation 2:10
True Gospel will bring conviction of sin. John 18:8 and Acts 7:51-53
True Gospel confronts our pride. Acts 7:51-53
God is NOT the God you want Him to be. He is the God who is! Exodus 3:14
The truth is NOT what we want it to be. It is what God says. John 17:17
True Gospel will be met with anger. Acts 7:54

True Gospel will have powerful effects!

Fear, Excuses, and the Land of Promise
Exodus 3:14

Excuses keep us from what God has in store for us! Luke 14:18
It’s easy to make excuses. Genesis 3:12 and Judges 6:15
Sometimes we open the door of fear. Job 3:25

Excuse # 1: Who am I? Exodus 3:11
In Christ, the past is irrelevant! 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Psalm 103:12
Who God is matters. Revelation 4:11
God is the power source behind His promise. Philippians 4:13

Excuse # 2: I don’t know enough. Exodus 3:13
God is the great I AM. Exodus 3:14
Power of Jesus. John 8:58 and John 10:30

Excuse # 3: What if no one believes me? Exodus 4:1
We need to have a pure heart. Matthew 5:8
God will authenticate His message. Psalm 86:17

Excuse # 4: I’m not able to do it. Exodus 4:10
God enable us to complete His call. Hebrews 13:21

Excuse # 5: Send someone else. Exodus 4:13
Examine our real walk with the Lord. Luke 6:46
Salvation is more than a change in destination. Isaiah 41:10 and 1 John 4:18
We choose what we dwell on. Isaiah 26:3
Power of transformation- Shift from self to God John 3:30
Fulfill your promise in God’s power. Deuteronomy 34:10 and Acts 7:22

Stop the excuses; step out in faith!

Action over Fear and the Fight of Your Life

Insight # 1: Opposition will always come to those who do God’s will. Nehemiah 4: 1-3
God’s work will always bring opposition. 2 Thessalonians 2: 18
The enemy doesn’t go after compromisers! 1 John 1: 6
We will face ridicule, threats and discouragement. Mark 5: 39-40
The enemy wants us to be afraid and quit. John 15: 18-20

Insight # 2: Fear will tell us to stop. Psalm 56: 3
God’s Word makes it clear: the enemy is a defeated foe! Colossians 2: 15
Call upon the Lord and seek Him. Nehemiah 4: 9 and Isaiah 55: 6-7
If you get knocked down, get back up! Nehemiah 4: 10 and Proverbs 24: 16
Remember who you are and who you serve! 2 Corinthians 5: 17 and Romans 8: 1

Insight # 3: Fear is conquered by prayer, faith, and action. Nehemiah 4: 14

Tomorrow, Sunday April 12, Marianna hoagies orders and money are due! Marcy will have a table set up outside, just drop off on your way into church. Cash or checks made out to Target One Ministries will work.
Please make sure your names are on top of your seller forms. Marcy will keep the forms and give them back to you on the day of pickup Tuesday April 21, 2:30-5pm!
No late forms or payment can be accepted. We are counting the money for deposit this Sunday after church and orders will be placed Monday morning.
Every dollar earned ($3 off of each item) will go into the Benevolent Fund at Target One. It helps people that are in need in our congregation and community during difficult times.
We will share with you what we made when all is said and done!
