Happy First week of School! Today we are praying for you all!
Heavenly Father,
Today we lift every student, teacher, administrator, school staff member, and family as they launch into a brand-new school year.
Lord, as our students walk through the school doors, remind them of Your promise in Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Give them courage to stand for what is right, kindness to love others well, and confidence to know they never walk alone because You are always with them.
Help our students see that they are not just going to school—they are being sent. Make them missionaries in their classrooms, on the playground, in the cafeteria, on the bus, and on the athletic field. May their words reflect Your love, their actions point others to Jesus, and their lives shine brightly so that others may see You through them.
We also pray for every teacher, administrator, and school staff member. Thank You for the incredible calling You have placed on their lives. Fill them with wisdom, patience, strength, and compassion. Remind them that they, too, are missionaries in their schools. Give them opportunities to encourage, inspire, and make a lasting impact on every student you place in their care. May they lead with integrity, serve with joy, and be a reflection of Christ in all they do.
Lord, we ask for Your hand of protection over every classroom, hallway, bus, playground, and campus. Guard our schools, bring peace where there is anxiety, hope where there is discouragement, and unity within every school.
We trust this school year to you and pray that lives would be changed, hearts would be encouraged, and Your name would be honored in every school represented here today.
