What an incredible weekend at our Love to Stay – Making Love Last a Lifetime Marriage Retreat at the beautiful Château Élan Resort & Winery. The setting was stunning, but the presence of our God made it absolutely perfect!
First and foremost, we extend our deepest gratitude to our Pastor & Servant Leader, Rev. Dr. Tar-U-Way R.A. Bright, Sr., and First Lady Dr. Retta S. Bright, for their unwavering support, vision, and leadership. Thank you for believing in the importance of strengthening covenant marriages and empowering this ministry to pour into couples in such a meaningful way.
To our phenomenal speakers — thank you for your wisdom, transparency, and powerful messages that challenged and encouraged us. Your words will continue to resonate in the hearts and homes of our couples long after this weekend.
To all of our sponsors, those who donated in-kind services, and every individual who sowed a seed — this weekend would not have been possible without your generous support. A special post dedicated just to you is coming soon.
To our amazing couples — thank you for showing up present, ready, and engaged. From the opening ceremony to every session, to the powerful time our men shared during Bow Ties & Brotherhood, to the elegance of the Gala, and the sacred beauty of the Recommitment Ceremony — you leaned in with open hearts. Your energy, vulnerability, laughter, and love made this retreat unforgettable.
And last but certainly not least, to our incredible planning committee — Brian, Dr. Pam, Chuck, Pam, Willard, Breyone, Kevin, and Nicole — you gave of your time, your talents, and even your finances to ensure this retreat was both meaningful and memorable. You are the forever insulated family. We truly could not have done this without your commitment, sacrifice, and steadfast support — especially during those long Monday night Zoom marathons right in the heart of football season… now that’s real dedication!
We witnessed connection. We witnessed renewal. We witnessed covenant strengthened.
Maya Angelou said, “Always say thank you. It’s the greatest gift you can give someone, because thank you is what you say to God.”
To everyone, we simply say — THANK YOU.
More pictures and reflections to come from a weekend filled with love, covenant, and commitment.
With gratitude, love & many thanks,
Stan & Robin
