St. Michael's Episcopal Church

St. Michael's Episcopal Church We are a welcoming and inclusive Episcopal parish in the Diocese of Massachusetts. You will find us to be traditional in Liturgy but open and accepting.

As a historical church founded in 1714 we are blessed to still be active and listening to God's call.

Lobster Lunch is coming!

Preparations are being made! Bring on Summer!!

The 2026 St. Michael's Episcopal Church Lunch returns on Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4, bringing together great food, live music, and a cause that truly matters. Picture a summer afternoon with fresh lobster, jazz on July 3 drifting across the lawn from Obscure Notation, intimate chamber music inside, and guided tours of a historic church all weekend long.

This isn’t just a meal, it’s an experience with purpose. Every lobster roll and meal purchased helps fund a school in Haiti and supports local charities right here in our community.

Come for the lobster, stay for the music, and leave knowing you made a difference.

Bishop Julia E. Whitworth announced the appointment of two assisting bishops, Ian T. Douglas and Mary D. Glasspool, effective February 1.

I have some exciting news to share with you! In November, the 2025 Diocesan Convention voted to support my appointing assisting bishops for our diocese — retired bishops who can expand my episcopal presence on a part-time basis for the next year and beyond. I am now excited to share...

Violin, Oboe, Cello Recital (4:30pm), Choral Evensong (5:00pm)

A delightful trio of musicians will offer a 30-minute recital prior to Evensong sung in the style of music from the monastery at Taizé, France. Brief, repetitive chants intended to be sung by all will mark the beginning of the holy season of Lent. This is a new initiative at St. Michael’s - come give it a try!
