R&R Week 8 at WSS- “Understanding our Times and the Biblical Path Forward” with Lt Col Del Tackett, USAF (Ret).
This series will examine seven threats that have recently aligned themselves in Western Culture creating a significant cultural storm. Jesus took to task those who could discern the weather but couldn’t recognize the sign of the times in which they lived. Wisdom requires us to understand what is happening around us, which we will look at through a biblical worldview lens. But the most important reason for doing this is to know how we are to walk, in wisdom, in our day. A few days ago, we celebrated our 10th ever EXSEL Commissioning Ceremony for the EXSEL Class of 2026! 🎉 It’s been a full year for our Interns and Fellows—serving in their departments, diving into theology classes, and growing together as brothers and sisters in Christ.

Make a splash this summer at White Sulphur Springs in our beloved Promise Pond! Have you ever heard the story of how Promise Pond got its name?

Promise Pond is a reference to God's promise to Joshua and Caleb about the Promised Land - Officers Christian Fellowship closed on the property (which was just up the hill from Harrison House, the horse barn, and the rest of White Sulphur Springs) in 1994 and the staff at White Sulphur Springs began major renovations to Promise House before they had enough funding to fully renovate and live in it, believing that God had promised to provide for them! Now, Promise House and the nearby Promise Pond have provided a home for 6 different staff families over the years, and hundreds of families have enjoyed water sports and fun at the pond every year.
