The kids learned that Jesus sticks to us like glue. The main difference is that Jesus can't be peeled or washed off. He promises to never leave us. So the kids rubbed Elmer's glue on their hands and some kids rubbed it on their arms. I recommended that the kids run around flapping their arms to make the glue dry faster. We all had fun! Kids 4-13 are welcome to come to Children's Church during the service. Kids under 4 can attend with a parent or guardian.

We had so much fun in children's church yesterday studying the Parable of the Talents! We learned that while historical "talents" were units of currency, God also entrusts us with personal gifts, like sports, music, sharing, and listening ears to spread His love. The highlight was a massive sawdust pile treasure hunt where the kids dug for coins (talents). Afterwards, they had to decide whether to keep their findings or donate them to our Samaritan's Purse shoebox project. It was a beautiful, and slightly hilarious, look at childhood generosity. Some happily gave it all, some split it 50/50, and others convinced themselves it was just free money day!
