“It would be a mistake to suppose that the Scriptures exist only to bear witness to Christ, as if they were the norm for the church’s faith but not also for her life.” -Gilbert Meilaender

“Christian ethics can never be a matter of mere avoidance of certain activity. It must also be characterized by enthusiastic (literally, filled with the divine), hopeful engagement and action. The willingness to settle down into merely present arrangements, to keep house, to maintain the status quo is a sin against Sunday. Our mainline Protestant willingness to see our churches decline, to be sociologically determined out of existence, not to let go of the old and embrace the new, not to put new wine into new wineskins, is not simply boring and uncreative, it is unfaithful." -William Willimon

One of the great joys of being A church is to be THE church in cilopperating with other congregations in kingdom service. Together for Good is a special ministry that is bringing the church back to its roots to minister to the widows and orphans of our day.

Pray for our greater Mankato area church family, that there would be prayerful consideration of joining this movement to keep families together.

Complaints were part of the building of the 1st century church, but whenever there’s a complaint, get to the heart of the matter.

Ministry involves a barrage of URGENT tasks that get in the way of what’s most IMPORTANT. “Especially whenever our affairs seem to be in crisis, we are almost compelled to give our first attention to the urgent present rather than to the important future.” - Dwight Eisenhower
