Jessie Kloepfer from the Limestone Creek ward shared this beautiful experience from FSY saying:

“When I was at FSY this year, I really felt the strongest that I need to prepare for what is next in my life (Spiritually and at College). Several morning devotionals I felt that I need to serve a mission at some point. Some words that stuck out to me were "Don't let satan stop you from filling out mission papers" and "When you stop inviting others, you take away their agency." I had never thought of it that way before. My favorite devotional while I was there was "Climbing the Mountain of the Lord" by Brother Jutkins. He started by telling us about how dangerous it is to climb Mount Everest and how you have to wait for a good time frame before you can climb to the actual top and also make it back home. Then he compared this to mountains that we wish to climb in our lives and how sometimes we cannot make it back to what is really important if we are blinded by our own endeavors. But while we have our own mountains, what mountain does the Lord wish for us to climb? The answer is your next covenant on the path. This was a pretty big wow moment for me as Initiatory and Endowment are in my near future. Brother Jutkins then went on to add that if you put the Lord's mountain first, He will help you climb the mountains you want to climb without losing sight of what is important. I really enjoyed this devotional and have pondered about it as one of the mountains I wish to climb is going into the medical field. But if I put the Lord first, I won't get too absorbed in my ambition.”

Such a reminder of the strength of our youth and all the ways we can be inspired by who they are becoming!

We are grateful to have been a part of contributing to this local non-profit to support the great work they do!

For children who face barriers to health care, sometimes the best way to provide care is to bring it directly to them.

That is exactly what HEALS, Inc. is doing, following the example of our Savior in healing the sick through its Mobile Medical & Dental Clinic.

Since September 2023, the clinic has traveled directly to 19 schools in our stakes, providing more than 1,000 medical appointments and nearly 500 dental cleanings. HEALS reports that 89% of the children served were uninsured.

Those numbers represent children receiving care where they are, families overcoming transportation and financial barriers, illnesses being treated before they become more serious, and students returning to the classroom healthier and ready to learn.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is grateful to have joined with others in supporting the mobile clinic and the important work HEALS is doing for children and families throughout our community. We are grateful for the chance to be a part of these Christlike efforts.

Thank you, HEALS, for taking care beyond the walls of the clinic and directly to children who need it.

GROUNDBREAKING: Elder John D. Amos presided over Saturday's ceremony for the Huntsville Alabama Temple, calling it 'a true beacon of light where folks can come and find refuge, comfort, blessings, and miracles.' Construction on Alabama's second house of the Lord is now underway in Madison.

We are thrilled with the announcement of the Huntsville Alabama Temple groundbreaking on August 15, 2026. This is a joyous time for us!

This will be a ticketed event. Limited tickets will be distributed to each of the five stakes within our temple district. Guests will be asked to show their ticket to park at the groundbreaking parking area.

Because the number of tickets will be limited, we know that not everyone who would like to attend in person will be able to receive tickets.
